Bethany Village is part of Asbury, a not-for-profit organization that manages five continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) in three states. Founded in 1926 as a Methodist home for the aged and orphaned in Gaithersburg, Md., Asbury has grown into the 15th largest system of not-for-profit CCRCs, serving more than 3,500 people and employing 2,200.
Though Asbury has not been a part of the United Methodist Church for several years, it remains committed to the ethical principles of its early roots. This spirit of service – inspired by John Wesley’s admonition to “Do All the Good You Can” -- infuses the operation of all five communities.
While Asbury promotes the uniqueness of each of the five communities, it develops and supports corporate initiatives to promote excellence throughout the system. As an Asbury community, Bethany Village draws part of its strength from the expertise, commitment and resources available to a respected national provider of senior services.
To ensure that Asbury Communities can provide the programs, services and care our residents need, each community relies on Asbury Foundation. Asbury Foundation provides resources to fund these offerings without putting an undue burden on residents or when a resident has outlived his or her financial resources.
Asbury Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that secures philanthropic support to enhance the quality of life for seniors served by the Asbury system of communities.
