Bethany Village is part of Asbury, a not-for-profit aging services organization that provides exceptional services for seniors in three states. Founded in 1926 as a Methodist home for the aged and orphaned in Gaithersburg, Md., Asbury has grown into the 16th largest system of not-for-profit CCRCs, serving more than 3,400 people and employing 2,200.
Though Asbury has not been a part of the United Methodist Church for several years, it remains committed to the ethical principles of its early roots. This spirit of service – inspired by John Wesley’s admonition to “Do All the Good You Can” - infuses the operation of our system of communities.
While Asbury promotes the uniqueness of each of its communities, it develops and supports corporate initiatives to promote excellence throughout the system. As an Asbury community, Bethany Village draws part of its strength from the expertise, commitment and resources available to a respected national provider of senior services.
Asbury Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that secures philanthropic support for benevolent care for residents who have outlived their resources through no fault of their own and to enhance the quality of life for those served by the Asbury system of communities.
